What are you plans for residence stay in Dukley Art Center in Kotor?

- We mostly make installations, using windows as our canvases. We make compositions with pieces of coloured plastic stuck one on the top of another. Along with the exterior of the building and the hills, this makes an incredible effect. Coloured plastic changes the nuances of the landscape, but not the shapes itself. We make also small items, mostly earrings and necklaces.

1708dvoje1How do you feel in this space and did you get a chance to meet other residents?

- We met a lot of them, of course. Every one of them is very kind. Atmosphere is positive, and full of creativity. We've also met other of artist that came here as a couple, like we did.

How do you find the building of "Jugooceanija" - now "Dukley Art Center" - and its transformation into a space for art and artists?

- It's good that it has some rustic elements as well as the potential of creating something really interesting. My job is also exterior design and architecture, so I had many chances to see similar projects in similar abandoned buildings all over the world. Usually, those projects are very successful and enrich cultural life of a specific city. They open up new prospective and offer something new. I took a swim in the front of hotel "Fjord", which is nearby. It is out of use for a long time now. That's sad, because spaces like that need a minimal effort to be cleaned and to host project like this - or something completely different - it could host something important. You have a lot of abandoned buildings like that, since many companies that existed during Social Federative Republic of Yugoslavia are closed for a very long time.

1708dvoje2Music is always turned on in your studio. How it is important for your work and what are you listening right now?

- Music is of a great importance for us. It is essential for maintenance of creative flow. Right now, we are listening to Buckethead, electric guitar soloist.

Your studio is set differently than others. Is it minimalistic on purpose?

- Yes, it is. We need as few things inhere. When we arrived, few days ago, there were a lot of furniture and things left behind in the offices from time when "Jugooceanija" was closed. There were everything - from stationary to furniture that was typical during 1970s and 1980s. It felt like going back in time. We had to remove them all, because we plan to do big installations, so we need clean space.
